Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.  
 
 Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.  
 
The new team has three locations. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Sauber Motorsport Technical Center, UK will be operational this year. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations.

 This position for the Audi F1 Project is at Sauber in Hinwil (Switzerland).

Your mission

  • Running in and supervising complex milling components, making changes and optimising them together with the CAM programmer
  • Working on the most modern 5-axis machining centres with Heidenhain TNC640
  • Equipping and prioritising the 5-axis machining centres using robotic handling systems
  • Pattern area: machining prototypes, individual parts and structural components, including monocoque, nose, front and rear wing, wishbone
  • Metal area: machining prototypes, individual parts and structural components made of titanium and high-strength aluminium, including suspension parts such as wheel carriers, various brackets, hydraulic and pneumatic components, and much more.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and control of parts and tools
  • 2-shift operation and weekend work to optimise runtimes

Your profile

  • Successfully completed apprenticeship as a certified Polymechanic or similar
  • Several years of professional experience in machining
  • Heidenhain control (an advantage)
  • Multi-axis machining (an advantage)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in English language skills. German language skills will be an advantage
